My weight was out of control.

“Over the last 5 or 6 years, I seem to have just gotten very comfortable in my life and enjoyed the wrong kinds of foods. I had reached a high point in September of 2009 of 171 pounds. And what really put the icing on the cake was, my niece was going to be married in October. I went shopping for a new dress, and I grabbed the size that I was used to wearing, which was a size 12. And when I tried that on, it didn’t fit. So, I snuck out and secretly grabbed a sized 14. And that didn’t fit.

I thought “I’ve got to do something.”

I was just mortified. I stood right there in the mirror and I said, ‘I’ve got to do something.’ And, within a week I was watching television early in the morning and came across the infomercial for the Food Lovers Fat Loss system. And, as I watched it I thought, ‘I know this stuff. I understand carbs. I understand proteins. Why am I not doing this? This will work!’ So I picked up the phone and I ordered the system.

Food Lovers Fat Loss gave me back control.

In a period of 20 weeks, I went from a size 16 to a size 6. The dress I’m wearing right now is a size 4, and I purchased this dress in the same store where I shopped for my niece’s wedding, coming out of the same fitting room, with my husband sitting in the same chair. And I turned and did the same circle, and he looked at me and he said, ‘You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.’

It gives you everything you need to be successful.

But it’s not overwhelming because you don’t change everything all at once. The first day, everything is so easy. The second day, it’s still easy. The
third day, it’s still easy.

I discovered a new way of eating.

I don’t eat diet food. I don’t eat little bits of celery and little bits of this or that. I eat fried chicken. I eat French fries if I want them. I eat cake if I want it. I eat baked potatoes. I eat my pasta, with garlic bread on the side. I can have all of these foods and more. Because it’s not a diet. This is just a way of eating. It’s a new way of eating.

When I first started doing this, I’m thinking, ‘I’m eating food all day long, every day, seven days a week. How can I lose weight doing this?’ But as I went into the second week, I’m starting to notice my jeans are getting looser, my shirts are fitting differently, my clothes are starting to change. I thought, ‘Wait a minute, I’m eating all the time, I’m eating things I like, but I’m still losing weight. I’m still burning fat. This is weird.’

I finally feel like the person I want to be.

On Food Lovers, I have been able to become the person who I really want to be, who I knew in my heart that was on the inside but couldn’t be on the outside. I have energy, I feel good, I am alive. I am 50 years old, and I will be running my first 5k in less than 2 weeks. I have a goal to run a full marathon before I turn 51, and that will be in 6 months. I can run a marathon, if I believe I can. And I believe I can.”
